What is included in the price?Insurance, breakdown cover and of course, the all-important motorhome are included. Along with the van we also supply you with the cookware, cutlery and crockery you need to make yourself at home.

What do I need to bring for my stay in the motorhome?Duvet/sleeping bag and pillows, Towels, Toiletries.

What driving licence is required and what about points?A standard UK driving licence will enable you to drive the vehicle if you are over the age of 23. Generally, the points associated with a single speeding fine means you are still ok to hire, should you have other endorsements please call us to discuss.

I need to cancel my booking, what do I do?"From the time of booking up until 6 weeks prior to your date of travel, you will be refunded your monies paid less an administration fee of £200. Cancellations within 6 weeks of your date of travel result in full payment being required.

Will a car seat fit in the motorhome?Yes, a standard UK car seat will fit in our vehicles.

When can I pick up my vehicle?Pick up is from 2pm and return is by 10am, unless prior arrangement has been made. Should you fail to return the vehicle on time, we will have to bill a full or part extra day charge.

Is there an excess on the insurance?Yes there is an excess to the policy. In the event of an accident the excess will be taken from your security deposit, or taken at a later date if greater than the deposit. Full details are in the terms and conditions.

Do I have to pay a security deposit?We do charge a fixed security deposit; this is covered in the terms and conditions. Upon return of the vehicle a member of Light Motorhome Hire staff will inspect the vehicle with the hirer, and if the vehicle is in suitable condition the security deposit will be returned in 28 days subject to DVLA/Police clearance.

Where do I pick the vehicle up?Your vehicle can be collected from our Head Office which is located at - Unit 7 Lodge Farm Commercial, Doulting, BA4 4ND. These address details will also be be emailed to you within the booking confirmation.

What do I need to bring on pick up day?The driver must be present and must have with them driving licence, 2 utility bills less than 3 months old, your unique DVLA check code and passport.

Do you deliver?No, we do not deliver. But we do offer secure car parking on site at our Head Office which is fully covered by CCTV, so you can safely leave your car with us for the duration of your holiday. We charge £5 per night for this service.

When do we have to pay?Full payment is required at the time of booking, this guarantees the availability of your motorhome for your selected dates.

What do I need to do to return the vehicle?Before returning the vehicle you must ensure that you have safely disposed of grey water and emptied the toilet cassette, clean away all waste and rubbish and ensure the vehicle is as close as possible to the state you picked it up in. Vehicle must be ready to return to Light Motorhome Hire by 2pm. Unfortunately there is no rubbish disposal or grey water emptying facility at return/pick up point, therefore arrangements to do this must be done prior to return. We also ask that the vehicle is returned to us with a full tank of fuel, or the cost of fuel plus a service charge will be added to your bill.
